Houston dancers wish Frankie Manning a Happy 95th Birthday!

Around the world, dancers will soon be wishing Frankie Manning-- a living legend of the original Lindy Hop-- a happy 95th birthday. Houston dancers met up this past Saturday to create our own H-Town photo greeting courtesy of expert dance photographer David Holmes.

Frankie's 95th Birthday Celebration will take place in New York City this May 21st-25th, with over 1300 dancers from over 24 countries enjoying performances, workshops, dances, and 12+ live Swing bands. Although full-event tickets sold out within days, daily passes for certain events and venues are still available.

Be sure to visit the Frankie 95 website to learn more about Frankie Manning, check out the collection of vintage (and current!) photos, learn how you can participate, and watch as this unique and historic celebration of life unfolds! You can also visit our local HSO discussion.
