Come out to The Melody Club, Sundays 7:30-8:30p May & June for TWO months of balboa instruction by the glorious Gloria, the wondrous Wilbur, vanderful Van and a Terryfic balboa dancer who's been on hiatus and is making his very special re-appearance! They'll be starting from the basics and build from the fundamentals to some smokin' stuff so everyone is welcome! If you haven't been practising your fancy footwork variations from Lindyfest, not to worry - we'll give you a refresher and incorporate lots more. We promise you'll learn something new. There is not a lot of balboa instruction available in H-town, so help us grow the love for this dance!! Announcing a new weekly dance venue, the Demisasse Dance! Occuring (almost) every Saturday night from 9-12pm, at Te House of Tea, this is a smaller more casual/friendly dance with DJ'ed "groovy swing" music. There's no cover, but please do support the establishment with a purchase! (Note that there will be NO dance on nights conflicting with the monthly Taft Street Coffee "Second Cup Swing" dances!) Feed your caffeine and dancing addictions simultaneously with the Second Cup Swing Dance Night at Taft Street Coffee. The dance is usually every 3rd Saturday of the month and runs from 8:30 pm until Midnight. The cover is just $4.00 and that includes an introductory/warm-up swing dance lesson from 7:15 - 8:30 pm.
